HOW DOES IT WORK?
We want to see what you’ve got! What you have been up to with your horse, melt our hearts, inspire us, on the ground, at liberty, in the saddle, jumping, working cows, bareback, bridle-less. It’s up to you!!
Be creative, there are no rules (well there are some, listed below, but none that will rain on your parade!). We welcome every discipline, or not, all ages, and any combination.
It’s YOUR moment to showcase your relationship with your horse!
We have two categories, Novice/Intermediate & Advanced. You have up to 5 minutes – go for it, get those cameras ready!!
The public will score you in the following three areas, HORSEMANSHIP, SHOWMANSHIP, DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY.
Public voting will happen between the 1st – 17th November, the top 3 in each category go to live judging at the Horsemanship Showcase, which will be judge by our expert panel, via the screen or maybe even in person if some of the top 3 are in the UK
Remember nothing is too simple, it’s about:
HORSEMANSHIP
Defined by the harmonious relationship, connection, effortless cues, and positive responses.
SHOWMANSHIP
Defined by creativity, choreography, timing, music, and wow factor!
DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY
Exactly what it says!
PRIZES
Novice / Intermediate
non professional, grass roots and up – you know who you are and which group you should place yourself in!
1ST – £300
Or £300 towards a rider place on any Horsemanship Hub UK clinic in 2024, the bonus here is that you get the pick of ALL the clinic for a rider place, sometimes these clinics are pretty hard to get a place on!
1st Gorgeous HS ROSETTE

2ND – £50 & Rosette | 3RD – £25 & Rosette
4th Onwards – HS Rosette (UK category only) A rosette for everyone that enters!
Advanced
ie Professionals, horse trainers, instructors, those competing at a high level or those of you perfecting your craft! you know who you are and which group you should place yourself in!
1ST – £300

ENTRY FEE
Entry is £25 per entry or FREE if you have a weekend ticket to Horsemanship Showcase 2023.
Once you have paid your entry fee, or brought your weekend ticket.
Please send entries ASAP, the entries will go up onto the website once they are processed (this usually takes 48 hours) the sooner they are up and in the better!
Please send your videos by email to: info@horsemanshipshowcase.com (we recommend using www.wetransfer.com). You can also send smaller files via WhatsApp to: 07958527693. In both cases, please state your full name and which Contest category the entry is for.
RULES
- No tie downs i.e., side reins, martingales, flash nosebands etc
- You may enter a maximum of 2 different entries per person, each entry will need a separate entry fee ticket of £25.
- The judges decision is final.
- To enter the Contest, you must have paid your entry fee of £25, or have brought a live stream ticket or any type of ticket for the 25th or 26th Nov, until then your video will not be posted.
- Please make sure you have permission from all parties within your video.
- Videos must be no longer than 5 minutes.
- You may edit together many pieces of footage, or film in real time, be it filmed in one day or over years.
- Anyone scoring a fellow competitor with a crazy low rating will be disqualified (we can see this back of house!) We know NO one deserves 1 or 2 stars after all!
- No slander on social media. Anyone found to have posted negative comments will be immediately disqualified.
- Entries – send as soon as possible, as we will likely have many to process.
- We will need to have a minimum of 5 entries in each category to go ahead with the contest.
- No cheating!
This is a fun contest to raise the level of Horsemanship and get the community involved in this event, this contest is for FUN, please don’t take it too seriously, enjoy it, be inspired, hopefully win some prizes and get some awesome feedback along the way!
