When a loose stirrup leather fell forward, catching a horse’s leg and resulting in a fatal injury, the FEI set to introducing the 2019 XC rule that a neck strap must connect to the saddle or breastplate.

Horse-lover, Anna Bruce, a former international event rider, and BHS coach, set to re-designing the neck strap to ensure it is safer – and smarter – for both horse and rider.
