Artisan equine and country gifts

Welcome to Mare Craft! I’m Lorna and excited to be coming to the Horsemanship Showcase for the first time as a trader, although I have visited and thoroughly enjoyed the show as an attendee previously.

I work in a variety of mediums, ranging from watercolour silhouette paintings to stainless steel for large feature pieces and aluminium for tough, durable saddle tags. I have designed and created everything coming with me to the show, with custom keyrings, necklaces, saddle tags and bridle tags available for delivery after the show with your chosen details and designs permanently stamped into the metal.

I also work in resin with equestrian-themed decorations and custom resin horseshoes with your horse’s own hair as part of the artwork. These are for completion after the show, as with all custom orders, and will be available as a simple, hanging horseshoe or mounted in a full-size, deep picture frame, complete with your horse’s name.

My artwork is inspired by the time I spent with my grandmother when I was younger. I will never lose the feeling of peace in my heart that I took from my time in the little craft room with her, making flower arrangements with the soft smell of our materials swirling around us. My dear grandmother also created fantastic, layered pieces of artwork in a form of decoupage featuring equestrian countryside scenes. I have taken this forward in a modern take on layered artwork, which will be available for sale on my trade stand.
