We are a family run stud based on our working farm in Hertfordshire specialising in the breeding of pure and part bred Appaloosas. Having run a diverse farm with two livery yards for many years, our fascination and passion for Appaloosas led us in a new direction and we decided to branch out into breeding. After much research and many conversations with the lovely people at the British Appaloosa Society and the Appaloosa Horse Club UK our journey began by carefully selecting a number of different broodmares. The next step was to find a pure bred Appaloosa stallion, who was also homozygous for the leopard spot and pattern genes, this was easier said than done, but after a great deal of searching, we finally found success, and now have our gorgeous 100% Foundation, Grade A stallion Ghost Fire Shadow who is licensed with both BApS and ApHC UK and registered with ApHC America. We feel so lucky to have found him, and with his kind and inquisitive temperament he is such a pleasure to be around.

Also, a little younger waiting for their turn to shine, we have two very striking non-characteristic Appaloosa colts, and we’re really looking forward to seeing them grow and develop into handsome young stallions.

Our beautiful Appaloosa broodmares are registered with BApS and ApHC UK, have a range of coat markings… Few Spot, Near Few Spot, Leopard Spot, Solid, Snowflake and Blanket, and are all between 15hh and 16.1hh. We also have a selection of other broodmares including Thoroughbred, Connemara, Spanish PRE and Sports Horses GB.

We’re now breeding quality foals every year, some we aim to keep for our breeding herd and others are available for sale. This year’s foals include a variety of stunning colts and beautiful fillies, with fabulous coat marking. Our horses and youngstock are grey gene, PSSM and 5 panel negative, are regularly handled to ensure the best start possible, and suitable for a range of equestrian disciplines.
