Equinen is a British brand that designs high-quality western saddle pads and English numnahs, as well as various western-themed homeware and gift items such as mugs, notebooks and accessories.

Our western pads and English numnahs are expertly handmade by skilled craftsmen, to provide the horse superior comfort, whatever your riding discipline. We strive for beauty AND functionality in everything we make, and create designs that are unique and fun.

Equinen western pads are available in a variety sizes, from 28” to 32” long, and thicknesses ranging from ½” to 1 ¼”. This means that whatever your needs, we can provide you with a saddle blanket that will ensure the ideal saddle fit for your horse. All our pads are contoured at the spine for ultimate horse comfort.

We have a variety of different types of western pads available:

• Plain felt pads are made with soft yet durable 100% real wool felt, and are available in a variety of colours. They have ample wither clearance, making them suitable for high-withered horses too.
• Woven top pads have a beautiful and unique wool woven top and a 100% real wool felt lining. These pads can be used for every day riding, and they also look great in the show ring!
• Rounded-edge pads have a 100% real wool felt base and fabric on the top to add a bit of pizazz to your look! These pads are great if you have a western saddle with rounded skirts.

English numnahs are made with 100% real wool felt, and are available in either 10mm or 12mm thick felt in natural grey colour. These numnahs have fantastic moisture wicking properties and are great for horses and ponies with sensitive skin. Felt numnahs are easy to clean and suit all disciplines, from dressage riders to eventers and happy hackers. Just like with our western pads, we can also make English numnahs in custom sizes and thicknesses, so please feel free to get in touch to discuss your requirements.
